Greedy Trade & Thoughts

I targeted XLY for today. Initially my model predicted no good sector for today, and while my eyes said otherwise, it turned out that no sector other than XLE closed out on red.

So, I went for TSLA today. The overall trade was a bit forced, there was a horizontal wedge. Typically, in these cases, it can go either way (up or down). Today, it was a down day, but I figured, it would bounce back and I targeted a $385 price with a 0DTE contract. Let's look at the chart today:

In the above, we see a total drop of $15.84 from yesterday's closing. While we so see a little increase at some point during the day, it didn't hold. I did take a loss, and it made me upset. I haven't been upset at a trade is a while. In hindsight, it was forced, so I gotta brush it off and move on. At least it is Friday, which will allow me to reset for Monday.

I haven't had a goal of how much capital I want to make. Maybe it's part of my problem, so I think starting next week I will not only begin to track every day trades, but also, begin setting milestones.

As for my model, I think I want to start adding historical context to it. Meaning, when published, whoever access it can navigate to the previous days, look at the predictions and then look at the end of day performance. This would perhaps give it credibility. It makes me wonder though, am I giving my sauce away? am I giving the ingredients to my recipe? I want to say that even with the recipe provided, the sauce won't be the same, but I'm not too sure yet.

The thing is, I want to go into finance, but due to my lack of experience within the field, I feel like I must proved myself. I have to sit with what I want to show, and adjust as needed. Lots to think about this weekend.
