No Setup, No Trade

I didn't trade today, the setup wasn't there for me even though I was tracking 4 different stocks: MAR, ORLY, ZBH, INCY.

For the first time, it didn't feel as challenging to stop myself from taking a trade. After the 30 mins post opening, I tracked the stocks mentioned for 20 mins more and realized it wasn't worth it at all. So, let's look at how the sectors closed out today:

The market overall was still red, and only XLC and XLP ended up green, but even then, we see a 0.67 and 0.04 day change respectively, not a huge change.

Tomorrow is Friday, and I believe that all the sectors will actually be booming for the most part, but I have to choose so let's look at the three main sectors predicted:

I adjusted the logic in the model slightly today. When studying yesterday I was surprised that XLC didn't make the cut for the targets for today, and my pattern recognition told me it was going to be in the top. Surely, we now know that on September 10, 2026 the leading sector was XLC.

The ranking is provided above, but I feel the strongest about XLF so I will choose that for tomorrow. Let's look at the options for the holdings:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Citigroup

I am leaning more towards Visa so I think it's the one I'll ultimately go for. After I'm done with my trade tomorrow, I think I'll complete a 0DTE for SPY considering I believe that the entire market will be green tomorrow. Let's see what happens!
