Year Review

I stopped blogging and trading last week because I was busy, entered a bad trade and held overnight, but there was a good reason for it. First, I got locked out of my ghost account so I couldn't blog, and two, I got a new job offer which shifted my week and my focus. While I haven't started it yet, and won't until next month, it did change the rest of my week.

As I had bad trading week, but have entered enough trades, I do want to be able to do a review of the trades I've taken, success rate (I expect it to be low) and then work backwards while looking at the entries of the good vs the entry of the bad.

Total Trades
63
Win Rate
41.3%
Wins / Losses
26 / 37
Net Realized P&L
-$1,569.37
Avg Position Size
$207.42

From the above information, we can see that I've only taken 63 trades this year. Let's keep in mind that I've started this journey this year. While my P&L is definitely on the loss side at this moment, the win rate is decent... I expected worse. Is it where I wanted to be at today? No, of course not. However, I think I've traded enough times for me to go back and understand my best entries.

I will not be trading tomorrow Monday, I will instead be taking a break as I will be looking at the charts of the 26 wins I've had to understand if I find a better edge. This will help me update a bit of the logic behind my quant tool. Once the updates are made, I must only worry about the entries.

New week ahead, and I am more than ready to face it after I've ran my own analysis based on my own trades this year.
