Absolute Cinema!

Today was a beautiful trade day. As mentioned yesterday, I made some enhancements to my model to try to identify which sectors would have positive performance today. Based on the updated model, the prospect sectors were XLI, XLK, XLU. Let's see today's end of day performance:

As shown above, we see that XLK and XLU came second and third overall by the end of the day. Although at some point, XLI was a bit positive. This gives me a 2/3 in the prospects with my new model, it's exciting. While it is exciting, I must keep my composure because I need to test it over and over and ensure I don't have major holes in the model.

I also mentioned that I would consider XLI and XLK the most and listed the two prospect companies to trade today for each one. After the 30 minutes post opening and carefully observing the way the market behaved, I entered an AVGO contract with a strike price of $372.5 when the price was $367, overall this led to a 83.52% return for the day. Stunning trade for me. Let's look at the performance below:

In the above we see today's performance was well above the the wedge. Even then, the RSI remained under 70. The price also didn't go past the 200MA, which signals potential continuous rising, but we do see it passed the 20MA.

Overall satisfied. In preparation for tomorrow's trade, I'll review the prospects for tomorrow based on the model with today's data.

The model calls out XLI & XLK for a second consecutive day, and XLC. I personally am leaning towards XLC but can use XLK as second option. From the sectors above, I've chosen the below individual prospects:

  • GOOG from XLC
  • AKAM, FTNT, and FRSL from XLK

I was only able to consider one from XLC so I've pulled the best 3 prospects for tomorrow from XLK. Tomorrow will be day two of testing my new model. I will say that today there were a lot of news during the night hours that may shift the market a bit. However, because I wait the first 30 mins, I will decide between the 4 prospects mentioned above. If the trade feels forced, I won't take it.

Let's see what Wednesday brings
