One Long Hiatus
I've been away for a little over a month from trading. Got busy with life and personally needed to step away from everything.
I've completed one of the greatest challenges of my life, riding the Ha Giang Loop solo with little motorcycle experience. During this journey I learned a lot about myself, lost my bag on my descent on my last day, and accepted the journey as it was while also understanding my own emotions. I say this because it made me realize how this is applicable to my trading journey so far. I've been learning the whole year and applying my own methods, and while it has proven to be successful, I do get in my own way with my emotions when trading. It is not uncommon for traders to experience this, this happens to everyone, and it is the one thing people say is the hardest to master.
Today, on September 1st, 2026, I decided to go back to it. Having my lessons fresh and actually gaining a different perspective on this has helped me. Given that my method is not broken per se, I will continue to use it, except this time, I need to be better with my emotions. Riding the highs, the lows, appreciating the gains, and accepting the losses. Knowing when to switch back, when to pump the brakes, when not to take a trade. All those things I learned while riding, and I am choosing to apply these things to trading and other parts of my life as well.
So, let's cut through the chase and do some analysis for tomorrow.

The tape above is from today's performance, and for tomorrow's prospects, there are a couple:
- XLP - Exhausted by sellers and yet, had 0.32% positive return today with a 1.19x volume multiplier.
- XLV - Similar to the above, exhausted by sellers, with a 0.66% positive return and a higher volume multiplier than XLP.
- XLF - This one I'm a little skeptical about, but it was almost exhausted by the sellers, and while not ending in the positive today, a flip may be on the upcoming.
So while I am a little skeptical, I have chosen XLF as my strongest prospect. From here I am choosing Citigroup and Goldman Sachs – the prospects look good and also the partnership to develop a stable coin in the second half of 2026. Now, I know the premium for Golman Sachs will be astronomical in the morning, so I may monitor Citigroup as well. At the same time, I am also considering Walmart from XLP tomorrow as a third option.
I'm not sure what will happen tomorrow, it is the first day after a month long hiatus, so I will tread carefully, just like I rode the wet slipping roads of the loop with care.
